This summer, my son will be serving with an amazing ministry called Quiet Waters at a Family Retreat. Here, families are cared for, encouraged, and rejuvenated in a Christ-centered, fully accessible camp environment. He will be serving alongside 200 other volunteers, together caring for around 50 families impacted by disability as they experience fun and rest while hearing about the unconditional love of Christ and His view of disability.

After coming home from the parent meeting, I was deeply moved by the love and care that Quiet Waters offers these families. This peaceful lake dock painting was inspired by that meeting—my watercolor brush just came to life! The inspiration verse included in this 11×14 print is Matthew 11:28: "Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
